Although I’m no Masterchef, being blind doesn’t stop me being in the kitchen, trying my hand at baking and serving up tasty meals. I’ve had the opportunity to review Vremi kitchen gadgets and do a giveaway for you lovely readers! 🙂

Vremi Slicer.

So what is the Vremi slicer? It’s a 3 in 1 sharp bladed gadget with 3 types of blades that slides along your fruit or vegetables to take the stress of slicing away from you. One of the blades is a mango corer, which is pretty handy if you have limited mobility in your arms and wrists like I do.

Having Arthritis I find it pretty difficult to slice and cut vegetables, that makes them look halfway presentable anyway.
Thankfully the Vremi slicer takes away a lot of the hassle and wrist strain for me.
Who knew slicing and dicing veg could be so much fun?

I first attempted to slice an apple, it took me a second or two, to figure out how to place the apple and then the holder for a smooth cut, but once I got the hang of it I found it easy.

I also tested out the slicer on potatoes and although I had to apply much more pressure to create a good cut, it still worked.

I think that was the first time all my chips were actually of equal length and width for a change!!

Would I recommend the Vremi slicer?

Yes, for those who are foodies and want a new gadget to play with, then you will enjoy slicing away until your hearts content.

On a more practical level, for someone who has Arthritis or another disease that affects your hand or wrist movement I would definitely recommend it.

On another very practical note, although not completely necessary; if you have a visual impairment of any kind and end up with different lengths and widths of chips/ wedges then this could be a great addition to making your food look a little more appealing 😉

Would I recommend the Vremi silicon cupcake moulds?

No doubt about it! Whether you are a seasoned baker or a hot mess in the kitchen like me. these Silicon moulds make your life so much easier!
I’ve always baked fairy cakes and such like as a child/ adult and since losing my sight I found putting the mixture into the moulds/ wrappers a little fiddly since going blind, so having a more solid case to pour mixture into made everything a lot easier… Although, this is me we are talking about, I still made a mess 😉

When It came to removing the cupcakes from the moulds It was simplistic and pretty to look at.
Being made of silicon it means that the moulds were easy to clean, and in perfect condition to reuse again.
